31271 Nene Valley Railway

Throughout the months of March to November , we are pleased to be able to offer driver experience courses at the Nene Valley Railway using 31271.

1. Light Engine ( £150.00 ).........The course commences with a safety brief and an extremely informative tour of 'your' locomotive by an A1A driver followed by 2 round trips at the controls between Wansford and Ferry Meadows. An excellent hot lunch is provided together with membership for one year of the Nene Valley Railway and a superb signed '31271 driver experience certificate' of your day.

2. Coaching Stock ( £350.00 ).........The course commences with a safety brief and an extremely informative tour of 'your' locomotive by an A1A driver followed by 2 round trips from Wansford through to Peterboro.

You can usually choose your coaches for the course in advance , these being the vacuum braked Mk 1s or the air braked 'DSB's' . An excellent hot lunch is provided together with membership for one year of the Nene Valley Railway and a superb signed '31271 driver experience certificate' of your day.

31108 South Devon Railway

Whilst visiting the South Devon Railway , 31108 has been made available for driver experience.We would like to thank the South Devon Railway for this opportunity. 31108 will be leaving this railway in June 2008.

31162 North Norfolk Railway

There are no current plans to offer driver experience courses with 31162 at the North Norfolk Railway.
