31271 Nene Valley Railway
Throughout the months of March to November , we are pleased to be able to offer driver experience courses at the Nene Valley Railway using 31271.
1. Light Engine ( £150.00 ).........The course commences with a safety brief and an extremely informative tour of 'your' locomotive by an A1A driver followed by 2 round trips at the controls between Wansford and Ferry Meadows. An excellent hot lunch is provided together with membership for one year of the Nene Valley Railway and a superb signed '31271 driver experience certificate' of your day.
2. Coaching Stock ( £350.00 ).........The course commences with a safety brief and an extremely informative tour of 'your' locomotive by an A1A driver followed by 2 round trips from Wansford through to Peterboro.
You can usually choose your coaches for the course in advance , these being the vacuum braked Mk 1s or the air braked 'DSB's' . An excellent hot lunch is provided together with membership for one year of the Nene Valley Railway and a superb signed '31271 driver experience certificate' of your day.

31108 Midland Railway Butterley
There are currently no plans to offer driver experience courses with 31108.
31162 Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway
There will be 2 driver experience dates utilising 5580 / 31162 at this railway during 2008.
There are 4 places on each date and each participant will drive one full trip of the line from Toddington to Cheltenham and return with coaching stock. The participant will then spend the remaining round trips in the cab as a passenger whilst others drive.
You will be given a full tour of the locomotive you will be driving by an A1A driver.
The price of the full day is £250.
