31271 - Midland Railway Centre Butterley

 31271 , our third  locomotive , arrived on 28th May 1998 from the scrap line at Toton . Following a power unit rebuild and internal restoration , 31271 was started up for the first time on 31st March 2002 . She operated her first passenger trains on 20th April 2002 at the company's  AGM on a special charter in ' as purchased ' guise , until bodywork repairs were carried out together with a repaint.
